Standing Up for What Matters to Our Community

Education, the environment, and community sport are the three things that matter most to me because they are the things that matter most to the people who live here. Education is the reason why so many families choose to live in this area, and for many, it is the reason they never leave. People will often stretch themselves financially just to be able to send their children to one of the excellent schools we have here. You really cannot deny that some of the best schools in Western Australia are right in our community.

The environment is also incredibly important, particularly to our older residents who dedicate thousands of volunteer hours every year to local environmental groups. Their commitment inspires me. Caring for the environment is not just about policy; it is about protecting what makes our neighbourhoods special and ensuring that future generations can enjoy them too.

Then there is community sport and local infrastructure. With education come kids, and with kids comes the need for places to play. Sports are a huge part of life here. I want every sport to be properly supported and every club to have a home and a roof over their heads.

At the end of the day, I am not doing this because of politics. I am no longer an elected member or a candidate. I am simply a community member who will always advocate for my local area. Having served on council, I understand the policies and processes that make things happen, and I know how to get results. I do not need a political platform to care deeply about this community or to keep pushing for positive change.
